From Wheelchair to Wedding: Ramesh's Walking Journey

Ramesh, a 42-year-old tailor, lost his right leg below the knee in a road accident in 2023. For eight months he stayed home, dependent on his family, his work stopped.

He came to OrthoPro India on a neighbour's reference. After a detailed stump assessment we fitted a modular below-knee prosthesis with a silicone liner and dynamic-response foot. In the check-socket trial he stood and took his first three steps the same day — and cried.

Over the next ten days he completed alignment, gait training on our parallel bars and stairs practice. At his 3-month review he was cycling to his shop. Last year he danced at his daughter's wedding.

"I lost a leg in the accident," he says, "but I got my life back here."
